GWR Moving to Public Ownership

You may by now have seen the news was confirming that GWR will enter public ownership on Sunday 13 December 2026. At that time GWR will no longer be part of FirstGroup and will become part of DfT Operator (DFTO), under the Government’s landmark reform of the rail industry.
